Stride to support First Nations young people reach their potential
Community Spirit Foundation* is again running Stride For Education – a challenge designed to motivate kids across Australia to get active while learning about how our foundation supports First Nations young people.
The challenge will be held over 12 fun-filled days from 14 to 25 November, when primary and high school students will compete in class groups to clock as many kilometres as they can.
* Cathy Freeman Foundation changed its name to Community Spirit Foundation on 30 June 2022.
Registrations for Stride For Education are open.
Throughout the challenge, teachers and students will have access to videos that will transport students virtually to our four partner communities - Woorabinda and Palm Island in Queensland, and Wurruminyanga and Galiwin’ku in the Northern Territory. Community Spirit Foundation staff will share what makes their community special, including the languages they speak, the sports they play and the traditional practises they enjoy.
Every step your students take as part of this challenge is one step further in Community Spirit Foundation's journey of helping to support First Nations young people to realise their potential through lifelong learning.
